TOOCHI are female twin singer/songwriter/producers who write, perform and distribute our own music. Based in the UK, we have been fortunate to carve out our new Afrobeat career in Nigeria with past successful tracks including:- BattleCry and BeatBoom taken from our AFROCHIC EP and will be excited to share our latest AfroPop fusion offering called “GET REAL”
We were born in Lagos, Nigeria, grew up in Glasgow, Scotland and started our music career in East London, UK where we had our music success over the years with several Number 1 Hits in the “UK Music Week dance charts” building a loyal fanbase and international DJ support. We believe in using our music to bridge cultural gaps and have created our pop/afrobeat fusion sound to entertain and enlighten music lovers worldwide.
Our positive music is about inspiring and empowering the mental well-beiing. TOOCHI have a distinctive music style which is playful, vibrant and fun displaying our African heritage and culture in our music. GET REAL features traditional ogene beats fused with African instrumentals and pop dance elements empowering listeners to get ready to GET REAL with dreams and aspirations. We also have an initiative to support new artists especially young people in music. Our TOOBEE initiative aims at providing mentorship, support and workshops for up and coming artists, songwriters seeking opportunities within the UK music industry like in production, sound engineering etc and we incorporate our TOOBEE initiative in our TOOCHI Live events etc. We want to expand and offer our TOOBEE workshops in Nigeria with future projects in the pipeline.
TOOCHI were fortunate to have a soft launch of their track GET REAL last year November in Lagos and received a warm welcome from City 105.1 FM Lagos radio listeners giving positive feedback for the track. TOOCHI were also out and about promoting in Lagos and were able to attend the AFRIFF festival (African International Film Festival) ‘Collision Course’ Nollywood fiIm premiere at Landmark Centre meeting in person Nollywood acting stars and Nigerian great talent director Bolanle Austin Peters. TOOCHI also supported the AFRIMA (All Africa Music Awards) 2021 Awards ceremony greeting the show award nominees on social media while promoting their song GET REAL. TOOCHI twins are excited to share their new journey in the Nigerian / African Afrobeat music scene with the promotion of their latest official music video GET REAL.
